The property is a “Certified Wildlife Habitat” by the National Wildlife Federation.  This means that it has the four essential elements for wildlife: food, water, shelter and places to raise the young.  As a year-round bird sanctuary, enjoy dozens of bird species from the convenience and comfort of your deck.  Wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels and other small animals are frequent visitors.  The landscape includes the best plant varieties to attract some of the most colorful and beautiful butterflies you will find anywhere.  The area is also know for occasional sightings of dear and sometimes bears.
